The Berkshire UFO sightings

I was watching Netflix the other day and I found that there’s a new season of Unsolved Mysteries. The episode 5 is one of the most interesting documentaries about an UFO sighting that was experienced by lots of people at the same day, almost same time. I personally have seen weird things at the sky when I lived in Caracas that we could not explain, and sometimes I feel that people don’t stare at the night sky enough to observe the strange phenomenon that can be experienced from time to time. My experience was simple, lights at the sky that travel in groups usually, very far away; but in the case of Berkshire it was so close that caused traumas that changed people for their entire life.
Everything happened on the night of September 1st of 1969 at the Berkshire County in Massachusetts. The first person interviewed was a lady that has contact with this strange UFO. She never talked about her experience, but she lived it next to her best friend when they were driving and they saw bright lights on the road. They were so bright that they had to pull over on a side of the road. They found another car parked as well because of the same reason. Both women thought it was the police, but the lights were too intense. Both friends saw a bright big object flying that made no noise. Both friends decided not to tell anyone about the experience. many years later, she told what happened to her kids, and they also saw the bright light that same day, but they didn’t want to scared her and that is why they didn’t say anything either.
That same night, in the same county, another family (mom, dad and two children) went for ice cream and they parked their car in front of a small pond. All the family was able to see a bright object nearby, and the father decided to follow the light, even when the wife and the kids were so scared and did not want him to do it. Suddenly, the car started levitating! I would have fainted so bad! The daughter doesn’t remember anything about what happened afterwards, only the fact of waking up at the pond by herself, and she had to walk back home. The family doesn’t remember anything else either after the car levitated.

The third witness also remembers a similar experience when he was a child, same day, same place. This witness was going back home from enjoying a fair day with his mother, grandmother and brother, when they all saw a big light bulb that was firing rays of light nearby a bridge. The witness described it as a disc shaped object that was approximately 100 yards long. The light was so intense that ended up inside of the car. Everything got completely silent (as other witnesses describe). After this happened, the ignition was off, and the mother and grandmother’s position were inverted, the grandmother in the driver’s seat and the mother on the passenger seat, when they didn’t even get out of the car.
Most of the people that had that experience call the police, but the police did not take it seriously, and they didn’t even make a report of the calls. Some others called to a radio station (WSBS radio) reporting what happened, but sadly in 1969 they didn’t keep a record of the calls received. Some of the witnesses were children, and they shared their experience with other children, and they were bullied by other kids at school, which caused that the incident were never mentioned again. One of the witness reports being abducted that night as well. He was drawing at his neighbor’s house when he felt compelled to go back to his house, when he got out of the house, he saw the big light, and he started running to his house but he couldn’t. he was running indeed, but he was running on the same spot for five minutes without being able to move. At that moment he disappeared, and his neighbor friend saw all of this happening and freaked out. The witness appeared again on the same lawn 7 minutes later, laying on the grass and he couldn’t move. One minute later he was able to get up.
So many different reports at the same place at the same time is a very strange phenomenon and it is hard to explain from a logical point of view. I do recognize that if this happens to me, I would have developed a severe trauma! What do you think about this strange phenomenon? Is was just a massive delusion on that day or it was actually the visitation of other beings from another galaxy? But, could also this be a widespread hoax? It is hard to believe that so many unrelated people at the same place at the same time had this experience and they are all lying about it. The history channel has also a short documentary but reporting only one witness. It would had been interesting if records were kept about that night to have some sort of prove that these experiences were reported, but sadly there is no written prove of what happened.
